Elders, Individuals, & Youth

In addition to the organization/program planning documents, there were planning documents and questionnaires for Elders, individuals, and youth. Summaries of the data collected from those documents are included in the final language plan.

Individual questionnaire responses will not be made available online.

Elders participated in planning sessions as representatives of language programs and organizations but there was also a table designated for Elders. The following documents contain the direct comments, suggestions, and information from the Elders table.

After session one on Thursday November 23, 2017, community members suggested making a greater effort to include the youth in our planning sessions. In addition to participation from Kanien’kéha Ratiwennahní:rats students (young adults), an invitation was extended to the Kahnawà:ke Survival school. In response,  a group of six grade 11 students attended to represent the school. A unique planning document was prepared for them, the following document outlines their language plan.
