Our Project Leader from the Kahnawà:ke Education Center Kahtehrón:ni Iris Stacey was awarded a prestigious Vanier Scholarship to support her research on second language acquisition in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education at McGill University. Wa’tkwanonhwerá:ton Kahtehrón:ni!!

Skátne Enionkwaió’ten Final Survey Results Available!

A brief 8 question electronic survey was sent to one representative of each group that participated in our language planning initiative. The objective of the survey was to generally assess the impact of the planning/language plan. Out of 14 invitations, 9 surveys were completed by the deadline. A report of the survey results (including comments) is available on the Exit Card page or can be viewed here.

KEC Evaluating Language Program at Karonhianónhnha

The Kahnawà:ke Education Center (KEC) put out a news bulletin yesterday (May 7, 2018) informing the community that an evaluation of the language program at Karonhianónhnha School is underway. This is great news! The KEC has already begun to implement their five-year language plan, which can be viewed on our Group Plans page. According to the press release, the Tehotakerá:tonh Jeremy Green is leading the evaluation process. Green has a lot of knowledge and experience in this field, we will look forward to the results of the evaluation!
